Morogoro International School

A small friendly school with modern resources and excellence as its aim

At MIS we believe that to be a truly global citizen one must also have a sense of place in one’s local community and an understanding and appreciation of the surrounding locality. The school makes good use of the many natural and cultural sites around us for school trips and other educational purposes. Many local businesses and institutions support the school and offer their unique qualities to aid some of our projects. Cultural classes (traditional dance and crafts for example) are offered as part of our extra-curricular programme as well as for one-off workshops (sometimes in conjunction with other schools). More links are also being made with local schools to offer our students the chance to interact further with children from them. Talks and performances by local groups are arranged so that our students can engage fully with the myriad of local cultures around us.
