For the modern and rapidly-changing world that we live in, ICT is a vital tool. At MIS we subscribe to this belief. IT lessons begin in Year 1 and even the Reception and Nursery classes have access to computers. The school has a networked computer suite with high-speed internet access. In addition, we use interactive whiteboards, other projectors and television screens as well as DVD players so that technology is used as much as possible within our teaching. Students are taught typing skills from an early age and other high level computer skills are developed soon after so that students are prepared for a high-tech world. We have recently joined a project which enables students from different international schools around Africa to work together through an international network. Students are also able to access work and extension material on our virtual learning platform by visiting www.mismoodle.com on the internet. This site was set up specifically for MIS students and all the items contained on it are designed to enhance and extend our students' learning experience.
