Dear Parents and Carers,

After a week it seems as though the students were never away! The start of the term was extremely busy and the students were involved immediately. I am glad to see that they are all working hard and getting positively involved with the school. Thanks also to all those parents who have volunteered to help the school as well.

Uniform:
Please note that secondary students may now wear navy blue trousers instead of shorts/skirts. Primary students should still wear navy blue shorts/skirts. The uniform list is now as follows:

Boys
                Shorts                                                Navy Blue
                       Trousers (secondary only: optional):      Navy Blue
                       Shirt or Polo shirt                                 White
                       Socks                                                 White
                       Jumpers should be plain blue/black/white (no large logos)
                       Low cut sneakers or trainers or sandals or shoes (no flipflops/crocs): Blue/black/white

Girls
                 Shorts, skirts, or culottes                      Navy Blue
                        Trousers (secondary only: optional):       Navy Blue
                        Blouses or Polo shirts                           White
                        Socks                                                  White
                        Jumpers should be plain blue/black/white (no large logos)
                        Low cut sneakers or trainers or sandals or shoes (no flipflops/crocs): Blue/black/white
                       
Headwear should be plain blue/black/white
                       Jewellery should be appropriate and restrained

                       Swimming Lessons      Costume (plain blue/black: tight fitting for team) and towel
                       P.E. Lessons                Shorts, House T-shirt, socks and running shoes.

Please note that home clothes may be worn after 2.30pm as long as students are not involved in a formal school event. For sports clubs proper PE kit must be worn however.

After-school activities
A letter has been sent out regarding after-school activities and day-boarding. If you have not yet returned these please do so this week.

Swimming kit
As you will see in the above uniform list (and listed in the previous newsletter), students wishing to participate in the swimming squad will need to wear kit in accordance with the uniform policy. For normal swimming lessons students may continue to wear their own swimming kit, however for after-school training and for swimming galas the following uniform/kit should be worn:
                        Boys: tight fitting shorts/trunks (dark blue / black)
                        Girls: tight fitting costume (dark blue / black) + swimming cap (dark blue / black).
Ski-trip
One extra place has become available for the ski-trip. If you are interested please speak to Ms. Heisele.

8th October:                             International Food Fair
12th – 16th October:                  Half term
2nd -3rd December:                   School Musical
4th December:                          End of term
